Happy Saturday! Enjoy A Healthy Organic Mojito Cocktail

Summer is the season to be outdoors, enjoying blue skies and warm weather with your friends and family. When you're planning your BBQ, pool party, beach day or if it's just the two of you at home, consider preparing a delicious alcoholic cocktail.

Organic Mojito (serves 1)

2 ounces Organic Rum*
10 organic Mint Sprigs
1 organic Lime
1 ounce Organic Simple Syrup
1 tsp. organic sugar
1/3 cup soda water
Mint Sprig and lime slice for garnish

First, prepare the Organic Simple Syrup: Pour 1/3 cup of water and 1/3 cup of organic sugar into a sauce pan. Bring to a boil, stirring continuously. Once the sugar has dissolved, remove from heat and let cool.

To make the Mojito:

Slice the lime into quarter pieces. Place 6 quarters of lime, 1 tsp. of organic sugar and all of the mint sprigs (break the mint into pieces first to release the most flavor) into the cocktail shaker. Mix the ingredients together very well. Add approx. 1 cup of ice to the shaker. Pour 1 ounce organic simple syrup and 2 ounces of Organic Rum over the ice. Cover and shake well. Pour all of the contents into a tall glass. Top off with soda water.

Garnish with a slice of lime,mint sprig and serve.
